Revision of the characters suggests that ansorgii belongs into Brienomyrus instead of Hippopotamyrus.

Etymology
Dedicated to the Dr. W. J. Ansorge, physician, who collected fishes and birds in W. Africa from Niger to Benguela in 1896 and 1905. (Courtesy Alwyn Wheeler, in lit.)
