Etymology
(gr): psitta- o, (lat.): psitta- cus, -i Parrot, referring to the shape of the snout. budgetti: in memory of John Samual Budgett (1872-1904), Balfour Research Student, Trinity College, Cambridge; died after return from his second expedition to Nigeria »having succeeded, were others failed, in a complete series of segmenting eggs and larva of
Polypterus« (The Cambridge Review, Jan. 21, 1904).
