Synonyms

Ivindomyrus rhinoceros n. sp.

Remark on taxonomy
The type sample of Ivindomyrus opdenboschi Taverne and Géry, 1975 obviously comprises two quite different taxa, the holotype MRAC no. 80-15-P-6 and the paratypes 80-15-P-7, -9, -10 are true specimens of this species, the paratypes MRAC 80-15-P-11 and 8, however, in many characters do not correspond to I. opdenboschi and are to be regarded as a species of its own; new holotype MRAC 80-15-P-11.

Etymology
Named for the rhinoceros-like shape of the snout, as already seen by the authors of the genus (p. 558): »le museau se recourbe même en un véritable bec qui n’est pas sans évoquer la lèvre supérieure du rhinocéros noir«.

16.10.1 partim : CLOFFA-no.
