anguilloides: after a certain similarity with the common eel Anguilla, (gr): ~ides, from: to eidos: originally: root-word designates similarity with something. M. a. voltae; zambanenje: after type localities: Volta and Zambesi River;
deliciosus: (lat.): deliciosus, a, um: delicious, referring to the taste of the meat; longiceps, curviceps: after shape of head: (lat.): curvus, a um: crooked, rounded; longus, a, us: long, wide; ceps: only in compounds, abbreviation of caput: head. swanenburgi: dedicated to person, tuckeyi: dedicated to Capt. James Kingston Tuckey (1776-1816), leader of a British expedition to explore the Congo River, died during the journey from a disease he contracted in India.
