Etymology
isidori: Dedicated to Isidore Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire (1805-1861), French ichthyologist, son of Etienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire (1772-1844), worked on the fish collections his father had made Egypt 1798-1801; became membre of the Académie des Sciences in 1833-1837, professor at the Muséum national d’ Histoire naturelle 1840
gaillardi: dedicated to M. Gaillard, doctor of medicine, participant of a mission of capt. Tilho to define the border lines between the Niger and Chad regions. rudebeckii: dedicated to a Swedish scientist by Svensson.
